sp.dev
Hello, my job has been impacted due to the govt. shutdown. Employer has asked to use PTO but with no end in sight for a resolution, if my PTO ends and if my employer does not want to pay further, what are my options? can I stay in the country? LeaveMessageH1B
you had similar situation a while back....refer below to your original posting if you're employed by federal govt then follow directions from your superiors. for H1B it does not matter...one needs to get paid regardless. JoeF
If they don't want to pay you anymore they have to lay you off, and you'll have to leave the country. Sorry, but the id*ot in the White House is causing all kinds of issues for lots of people. Link to comment

Sorry, his irrational actions show that I am correct. He would have to earn respect. So far he hasn't. He is a toddler with temper tantrums. And btw, that id*ot currently in the WH insulted the previous President much worse. He also boasted about sexual assault and colluded with Russia to influence the election. Furthermore, this is the US. Read up on the 1st Amendment, about Freedom of Speech. Link to comment
