Travel to India between resignation and start of new job

Hi Everyone, 

I am planning to travel to India this month.  I am currently on OPT EAD  which is valid until May of this year and I have f-1 visa valid until 2021. I have the latest travel signatures on my i20. 

The situation is that I will be resigning from my current job before I leave and I have an offer letter for my new job which will be starting after I return. 

Question - > Is it safe to travel in these circumstances and if so, is there any limit on number of days of travel?  Additionaly, what documents should I be carrying?
