L1A to H1B conversion

Hi,

I am currently in US on L1A Individual visa. My visa validity is till Jan'20. Due to recent change in my company's policy, they no longer would be processing my GC request in EB1 category; it would be processed under EB2 category. I am also given an option to get my L1A visa converted to H1. I have few queries and would really appreciate if I can get some advice.

1. Would I be able to initiate my L1A extension while my H1 conversion (COS) is being processed in parallel?

2. If my L1A extension gets approved before H1 conversion (COS), would I be able to stop the H1 conversion?

3. If H1 conversion is denied, I still should be able to continue on my L1A, correct?

4. If my L1A extension is denied but H1 conversion is approved, I should be able to switch to H1, correct?

5. If my GC request in EB2 category is initiated now, would it be impacted in any way due to the H1 conversion (COS)?
