L1B extension 240 days grace period

Hi,

Employer filed L1B extension along with employer name change  in April 2018.  I got RFE on first week October and got deadline to defend till Jan 2019.  My i-94 already expired in April 2018. My question is am closing to 240 days by November 2018 end and can i stay beyond that till i get my decision or i need to leave the country by November end.

And one more thing Same employer filed new H1B  COS for me , got through lottery and waiting for the decision.

Can you please suggest me can i stay after 240 days grace with out working until i get decision with either L1B extension or H1B COS?
