Travelling to US Virgin Island on Valid H1 B visa but no stamping in passport

Please suggest...if it is safe to travel to US Virgin Island on Valid H1 B visa but no stamping in passport (with expired H1 B visa stamping in passport)

The US Virgin Islands are part of the US. Travel to USVI is the same as travel to any other location within the US.

You need to have a valid I-94. That's it.

No the I-94 expired in the passport but I do have H1-B approval until 2019. Is this one document enough for travelling to US Virgin Island?

The H1 approval nnotice should have a new I-94 at the bottom. That's what matters.

yes you can travel with the new i94 on your H1B approval notice.  AVR can be used and you will not have any problems.

There is no AVR involved here. It is domestic travel, just like flying to New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, etc.
