what would be my starting date on EAD ?

I am an F-1 student who is on OPT. I haven't got my EAD yet. Its been more than 3 months since I have applied. My preferred starting date was July 30,2018. So what would be my situation if I get to have my preferred date on my EAD?  And if receive the EAD by the end of this October, would I have accrued 90 days of unemployment? what would be my case?

The EAD start date would be the approval date. These things are never backdated.
