Manufacturing
Hi All, I’m on my H1B and working as a full time employee direct to client (it’s an American based company) ,My question is what if I loose my job on H1-B. I think my employer is not happy with my performance, what’s the next step if I don’t find any employer before I get fired ? Link to comment
Chicagom34
If you get terminated you will have 60 days grace period to find a new employer or leave. Link to comment
Manufacturing
If I don’t find any employer in 60 days can I apply for change of status to F1 ? I’m just asking for suggestions not trying to play with immigration ,I just want to know what are the next steps I can make if I loose a job on H1B. Link to comment
Provence
Best to leave the US if an H1b job is lost with no alternatives in the 60 day window thereafter. Attempts to COS are almost always frivolous; unless you really intend to study, which going by your posts, is not your real intent. Link to comment

satya2k1
Best option is to work on your weaknesses at work, and maintain good relations with employer and meanwhile work really hard to find a fulltime employer and have H1 filed. I know it is tough in today's world, but atleast you have 60 days. Link to comment
