travelwithdwi
Hi All I was convicted of DUI in July 2014 (Arrested in Jan 2014). In 2016 I went to Mumbai for H1B visa stamping and was referred to Panel of Physicians. About 2 weeks after the medical was done I was granted visa. These were the most anxious 2 weeks of my life. Well, I need to go for another stamping and getting worried as new ADMINISTRATION is in Power and tensed thinking about what will happen. 1. Will I get another 221g asking for Medical since its still less than 5 years after conviction? Has anyone gone for their second visa stamp after DUI with 5 years of incident/conviction? 2. My visa stamp is valid till March 2019, Can I go for stamping in Oct/Nov this year? My current I-797 is of New employer and visa stamp of Old one. Link to comment
02112018
1. You may go through the same Panel of Physicians process and wait for weeks with 221G. 2. Have new i-797 from new / current employer with supporting docs. If the profile is clean you can go any time. As you already faced 221g, be ready to face the consequences. Link to comment
