Travel On H1 Amendment Pending but with a valid visa.

Hello Experts,

This particular question might have been asked many times in this forum, I couldn't find any recent post on this topic so would like to seek your opinion.

I recently moved to new client and filed for my H1-B Amendment (Unfortunately, I missed out the premium timeline). So, With this Amendment still pending and if i travel out of USA will it be risky at port of entry ?. 

I have old I-797 and my visa valid until 2021.

Check with your employers attorney, they usually advise not to travel with any pending petitions (probably to prove your presence in the country with I-94)
