freedom82
Hi, I have my visa interview next week and just realized the passport expiration date in DS 160 was in correct. Based on advice from the immigration dept in my company, I have redone by DS 160 and have the new application with me. I am worried if this is a common occurrence or should I be worried. Do I need to inform anyone in the biometric or the visa officer on the change. Please advice Thanks, RG Link to comment
02112018
Don't have to worry. At the entrance of the embassy, you should show the latest DS-160 & passport to scan and forget about the old DS-160. What ever is scanned at the entrance will show up for the visa officer. I did the same when I forgot to enter my i-140 petition in first ds-160. Link to comment
freedom82
Thanks 02112018. Your reply calmed me but I have one more question. The payment I made before scheduling the PAI was against the old DS 160. Will it be updated automatically or do I need to inform anyone explicitly. Link to comment
Tjgarla
Just show your new DS160 form in the fingerprint office. They will take care of it. Link to comment
02112018
freedom82 : Like Tjgarla said above : Don't worry it will automatically updated to new DS-160 when you show it @ the entrance for scan. I don't remember if you can update the new DS-160 in https://cgifederal.secure.force.com/applicanthome. if possible do update and be cool. Link to comment
care_candidate
No issue at all. I had it done in the past right few minutes before interview, there was a glitch in middle name/initial. I corrected with new DS-160 and scrapped old one. This happens many times. Link to comment
