imiuser2504
Hi, Currently my parents are in USA and their I-94 is valid till SEP 29th 2018. Im planning to extend their visa for another 1 months, can someone please confirm if this can be done on Own or needs to be takencare by only attorneys. If an individual can file extension, please can someone list the procedure and checklist of documents needed. Thanks. Link to comment
Provence
They're better off exiting the US before their i94 expires. These are highly scrutinized times, and if they've been 'visiting' six months, any routine extension request will likely be denied. It takes several months for a decision to be made. A denied extension will affect future visits, with shorter stays or a denied admission. It could also lead to the visa being cancelled. Suggest thinking very hard whether going the extension route is worth it. Link to comment
