Currently working on H4Ead, 1Yr H1B left, can I apply my PERM now and move from H4Ead to H1B in 6 months

Hi 
I am currently working on H4EAD from last 2 years, I have one year of H1B left before I moved to H4EAD, I did not have PERM applied then.
I am planning to get back to H1B now. Can I get my PERM processing done with my current Employer and by the time it is approved or with in 6 months I start application for my H1B (that has 1 year left)?  Is that Okay to do?
