Valid H4 Visa but I94 and Passport Expired

Need help on my current situation: 

I am on H1 visa and my daughter who is 9 years is on H4, we all have visa stamped in passport till 2020 and  currently in US. but on Feb 12th my daughter passport got expired and even her i94 was stamped for feb 12th, (so even its expired). we missed this part, as we all have i94 till 2020 we thought she also would have till 2020.

We just realized the issue, doest she need to go out of country? as she is minor would it impact her coming back to the country and is she out of status?

As its 2 months now, can you please suggest what would be the best option to get updated i94?

we are trying to apply for passport through Tatkal service.
