Continuous residency for citizenship

I got my green card in Aug 2014. Two questions

1. I have stayed in US from Aug 2014 to now with multiple intermittent travel outside US ranging between 10-30 days. Is this considered a break on continuous and physical presence requirement for citizenship eligibility?

2. I have been asked to go on expat assignment by my US based MNC to Saudi Arabia. If I keep visiting USA once in six months, does that keep my continuous and physical presence requirement  intact so that upon return to US, I can file for citizenship.

Great forum. Appreciate any advice/help.

Physical presence means actual time in the US, I.e., your body in the US. For naturalization, you need to have  certain number of days of physical presence in the 5 years before applying.

Continuous Residence doesn't mean physical presence. Short absences, e.g., for vacation, don't break continuous residence.

Long-term company assignments may or may not break continuous residence. Discuss the details with HR and a good immigration lawyer.
