Stem opt rejected due to wrong form

I applied for my stem opt on 02/12 but got a rejection on 02/23 due to wrong application form in the package. My opt ended on 02/21, I still sent the application with right forms (after receiving rejection on 02/23) which was received by USCIS on 02/25 ( 4 days after my opt expiry). I still did not get any update from USCIS.

        I was following up with lockbox from 02/12 firstly they said they can’t find any package on my name, then on 02/23 they told me its coming back to me.

        How can I get my opt extension? my employer wants to file H1B visa, Can I still do it?

Since it was filed after your OPT expired, STEM OPT is gone. it was your fault of using a wrong form, so an appeal or MTR won't work.

If you are within the 60 day grace period when the H1 is filed, you can stay, but you can't work until the H1 is approved or Oct. 1, whichever is later. So, realistically, you will have to leave the country, and you can come back up to 10 days before Oct. 1 if the H1 is approved.
