fastmandar
My J1 waiver timeline based on no objection, November 17, 2017 - Sent DS-3035 and other documents to DOS December 21, 2017 - DOS sends Favorable Recommendation to USCIS December 28, 2017 - I-612 case was received at USCIS lockbox January 4, 2018 - Received Receipt Notice from USCIS in the mail I am waiting for the USCIS approval. Any idea how long it takes? The vermont service center processing time says that they are processing July 1st, 2017 case right now. Is it true? I have seen people getting their waivers within a month after USCIS receives I-612 from DOS. My waiver is based on no objection. Thanks! Link to comment
gettingStarted
I am in the same situation as you. I have the following timeline: July 18, 2017 - Submitted all documents to DOS November 30, 2017 - No Objection Statement Received by DOS December 21, 2017 - DOS sends Favorable Recommendations to USCIS December 28, 2017 - I-612 case received at USCIS lockbox at Vermont January 4, 2018 - Received Receipt Notice from USCIS in the mail I haven't heard anything yet from USCIS. I am hoping that mine will be processed within a month, just like it is for some others. The service center processing information does not appear to be updated frequently. Please update when you hear something from the USCIS. Thanks! Link to comment
fastmandar
@gettingStarted Is your waiver based on no objection? Why did it take so long for your DOS matter? I am desperately waiting for the I-612 to get approved. I have always heard about cases when it got approved within a month. I will update when I have news. Link to comment
fastmandar
@gettingStarted USCIS Vermont processing time for I-612 is scary, currently, they are processing cases from July 1, 2017. But I think its probably for other waiver categories. I hope I am right on this. Link to comment

gettingStarted
@fastmandar My waiver is based on No Objection. It took my embassy in Washington DC too long to process and send the no objection statement to the DOS. That was the reason for the delay. Link to comment
