Anks
Why a person should not start the Green Card process before getting an H1B? When can the person start the Green Card after the person's H1B has been filled / the person has got H1B approved? Link to comment
NotAnAttorney
I hope you are talking about Employment based Green Card. Try to understand the basics, its not with the person. It's the company which starts the green card processing for a permanent position. Link to comment
Anks
Yes. Its true. I am sorry for putting a misinterpreted statement. So my company want to file my Green card. But I have heard and read that there are some rules for a company who wants to sponsor Green Card for an employee. How to know that whether the same firm is eligible to can file my Green Card or not? What sort of documents are required from the firm to submit to the US Govt. to file H1B and Green card? Link to comment
JoeF
If the company doesn't know these things, they should consult with an immigration lawyer. The rules depend on a bunch of different things, and a lawyer can advise the company appropriately. Link to comment
