DenProfile
Dear Immigration Gurus, One of my friend (India) is on H1b and they have US born child with developmental disabilities. This child requires special needs which are not available in India. So if we parents travel to India for a visit and in worst case if his visa denies, what are the options to come back for child treatment? Are there any visa options for parents to come back, live and work here in US? With current condition I don't think he will get GC for next 10-20 years and now parents are scared to travel out of US because of immigration issues. Is there any faster way to get GC for these kinds of parents? Any suggestion and help in this matter will be much appreciated. Thanks. Den Link to comment
JoeF
Sorry, there are no special visas, or GC speedup for such cases. The only thing I could think of would be humanitarian parole, but even that is a long shot. Your friend may want to discuss his situation with a good immigration lawyer. Link to comment
DenProfile
Really appreciated for your quick response. But I am surprised there is no special immigration category for special needed/ASD children. I have read some articles but I didn't find any humanitarian categories found for these kind of parents. Do you think immigration lawyer can help in this situation? Thanks. Link to comment
