Need information on OPT Grace Period

Hello ,

I'm currently on 12 months OPT and I have applied for the OPT Extension already and waiting for the approval.

My OPT ends in December and what if the OPT extension gets denied after the current OPT is expired while i'm on cap?

Does the 60 days grace period starts from the day the status was updated to denied or it starts from the initial OPT's actual end date?

can i apply for second masters and extend the I-20 during the grace period on either case of the grace period start date stated above?

Please advise.
