H1 expired and applied for renewal but SSN is not validating

Hi,

My H1B visa expired and I have applied for renewal and waiting for that,  now I got another job and client processed my background check using my ssn and replied that my ssn is not validating.

Can I know why it is like that and what other documents can I provide to the client.

Hmm, H1 visa or H1 petition? A visa is issued by a US consulate, an H1 petition is applied for by your US employer.

And what exactly do you mean by "SSN not validating"? Is the SSN invalid, or just not valid for employment?'Is this e-verify? We need more info.

Hope you working for an employer who follows visa laws and not some shady consultancy that was using you n giving you a false hopes of american dream.  With the recent changes h1/l1 renewals are  going to be stricter than before. 

If your SSN & credentials are legit there is no reason why it wud not go through.   have your employer re do the background check.
