F1 : H1

Hi,

my H1 is approved it will start on  oct 2nd 2017 from one employer. Right now I am working with OPT EAD with different employer. My OPT EAD valid up to 2018 dec.

here is my question.

Is there any possibility that I can postpone my H1 date to dec 2018 , if so ? How ?

 I heard two things regarding this cap and out of cap 

another one is exempt and non- exempt.

can someone suggest me.
