Is my Employer lying or is it true PWD is taking long time?

My employer said they had sent PWD (Prevailing wage determination) request to USCIS on 27th April 2015. Now its 4 months and they are saying that they have not received any reply yet. I am wondering if this is true that this step is now taking 4 or 5 months, or employer is consuming time intentionally as he may have realized that I may quit after I-140.

As far I know, getting a prevailing wage can take anywhere between 2-3 months.

In the mean time, I would strongly recommend you to get ready with your previous employer experience letters as it may take couple of months to get all those.

Experience letters should have job duties listed as well.
