Chakkaravarthy
I had a visa stamp from employer A and travelled to US and moved to employer B with a transfer+extension , now the status of visa stamp is expired. I had to travel to India and therefore have to appear for interview but when i schedule an appointment and when I answer the questions regarding Visa waiver program it says i am eligible for drop box which it shouldn't be since my I 797 has a new employer. Does the IWP apply when there is a change in employer too? The questionnaire doesn't ask if there was a change in employer , since the visa expired less than 12 months ago, it assumes i am eligible. Kindly let me know if i am eligible for IWP? And when i schedule appointment the system chooses the location based on my residence , so is it okay to override the location and change it to a different one than the one in my ds160? akshatgupta2001
In relation to the same..my visa stamp and I-94 expired in Sep 2014, h1-b was extended by my employer until 2017. I changed my employer in Feb 2015 and then again in July 2015. Latest H1-B petition approval is yet to come, it is in process. After approval if I go to India in March 2016, do I need to appear in person for stamping interview ? Link to comment

Yes, you need to go for personal interview as your visa is considered expired more than a year ago when you go for visa stamping in March 2016. Link to comment
