Traveling outside USA - GC approved but not received yet. Have valid AP

Folks here is my situation.

 

I got the 485 approval email on 7/23 (last week)

I am going out of country on Aug-8th-2015 and be back in about 4 weeks

My AP is valid till June-2016

 

Do you see any problems in me taking this trip with out the actual green card and come back in with a valid AP or inform the immigration offcer so he can stamp I551 on entry?

 

I talked to a few friends. No one actually knows or been in similar situation. I am hopeful this forum will be able to answer this question.

 

I checked with my attorney and he thinks it should not be a problem. Want to see whether anyone here have been through similar situation.

You need to get either the GC or an I-551 stamp.

The first available info pass appointment is after my travel date so that doesnt seem to be an option for me now.
