bk2014
Hi , I am finishing my five years of continuous stay in US on 2nd July 2015 however I had 5 weeks of leave in between these five years. Can I stay until 6th Aug 2015 ( 2nd July 2015 + 5 weeks of Vacation ) ? My I-94 expiry is 22nd Nov 2015. If yes then please let me know if i need to complete any formalities at USCIS level. Please advise... Thanks, Link to comment
jairichi
Employer has to file for L1B extension to recapture those 5 weeks (only if those 5 weeks you were outside US). Link to comment

kotaprolu
At the time of entry to the US I got my I-94 beyond my Visa date. L1B Visa Date: Apr 2011 to Apr 2014. I-94 end date: June 2016 Completing 5 years of stay on L1B in Apr 2016. My Company is filing L1A extention in May 2016. Can i stay in the US until my L1A decision is declared, irrespective of completing 5 years of stay on L1-B? Thank You! Link to comment

To stay beyond L1B max date of April 2016 your employer has to file a COS to L1A before April 2016. Link to comment
kotaprolu
Thanks for the reponse. If employer files COS to L1A and the decision is pending beyond April 2016 at USCIS can we stay in the US on receipt number until the decision is declared? Link to comment

Yes you can stay, but I believe you cannot work for the employer (I might be wrong with the working part). Link to comment
