H4 to H1 concerns

Hello friends,

 

I need your advice with regards to converting H4 to H1 for my spouse.

 

1. What questions one should ask to consultants so as to avoid any legal battles afterwards?

 

2. Do consultants ask to undergo any training or form bond such as working for them for a period of 1 year after getting H1B?

 

3. My H1B is valid till Sept 2015. What options I will have if my extension is rejected and spouse gets H1?

First and foremost avoid consultants.

1. Any discussion you have or documents need to be signed have a chat with a good attorney regarding them.

2. Yes, mostly. Run away from them.

3. You can move to H4.
