I have my appointment for H1B stamping in Tijuana, Mexico on Nov 24th.

Yesterday I got a mail regarding the appointment and passport collection:

1. The U.S. Consulate General in Tijuana recently relocated.  For information on our location, visit: The Department of State has temporarily disabled hyperlinks

2. Where is my visa?

-First-Time Applicants: If you have already been interviewed and approved for a visa, please check
<The Department of State has temporarily disabled hyperlinks> beginning three weeks after your interview.

-For those Renewing Visas:  Two weeks after visiting the Applicant Service Center, your passport will be returned through DHL.  With your passport, you will receive instructions whether a) your visa has been approved, or b) to make an appointment for an interview.

I am renewing my H1B visa. Do I need to wait for 2 weeks after visa approval to get the passport?

Dude..

I got my visa the next day after my appointment on Nov 20 th in Tijuana at the same location where i was interviewd (at the consulate). During the Visa Interview on 20th, the VO approved my visa and told me to collect my stamped passport on next day at 3PM. I collected it with out worries. The VO itself will tell you the information. If you have any questions, ask him about the email you got and where to collect passport. Good luck
