jairichi
1. For OPT look at your school's requirement or talk to your DSO. 2. That is an option you have to choose. 3. Google search for schools that have your course of interest. Have your TOEFL and GRE scores and apply. Link to comment
MikuIyer
The stage at which you want the H4-F1 conversion depends on if you want oncampus or internship experience during MS program. You cannot work on-campus or do any internship off-campus when on H4. But you can take full time courses as a regular F1 student. But if you are a resident of the state in which your school is located for one year, you might get tuition fee waiver. You need to check with school for confirmation. So if you have this fee waiver, then you can continue studies on H4 for 3 semesters and then apply for H4-F1 conversion during last semester. This is one option. Second option is to start school on F1. This way, you dont get any fee waiver, but you will be eligible to obtain internship/on-campus employment. Let me know if you have any more questions.
