did you ever get visa rejected ???

Hi Everybody,

 

During my first H1B stamp in 2009, I got 221g, it was related to my employer documents.But after that I got my H1B stamped and I came to US. Now I am planning to go for VISA re-stamp.

 

If VO asks "did you ever get visa rejected? " what should I say here.

 

Getting 221g in past, is considered as Visa Rejection at that time ??

Yes, getting 221g ~ visa got rejected. Don't worry, it happened to me in Jan'13. After that, I got my PERM approved, I-140 approved, H1b amendment approved. Now filed I-485.

221G is administrative processing and not visa rejection.

One of my friend received 221g and it was clearly written on that paper that your visa is not refused, its in pending status.

I am not sure why murthy firm has mentioned that 221g is a refusal. Hope senior members will respond to this.
