Travel: US to Mexico on expired H1B visa

Hi Everyone,

 

** Have expired H1-B visa on Passport (Company A)

** Have approved H1-B Extension I-797 till 2017 (Company B); visa not stamped.

 

I am planning to go Mexico on a one week vacation and planning to re-enter using ‘Automatic Visa Revalidation’ (AVR) process. I have a question on the AVR applicability while re-entering US. Are there any issues if I have expired visa from Company A and the extension from Company B ?
