Does having incorrect marital status on W-2 going to be an issue?

My spouse was here in dec of 2012. My employer hasn't updated the status correctly on W-2 but then I did files tax returns for both for 2013 yr. please let me know. So is the marital status going to be an issue?

First, have that updated.

Second, for taxes, did you file as married? There may have been a penalty, etc., so it is always best to have these documents current.

That was W2-2013. So it has been updated as of June,2013 to Married on my Paystubs so the 2014 W-2 says Married.

I have no issues with any of the documents in prep with visa stamping except for this which I'm a little scepticle. Please Advice.
