Hi All,

First of all thanks to everyone who posted info about Jamaica and H1B stamping experience, also thanks to forum because of forum I made good friends.

My Interview was on April 14th 2014 @ 8 AM, Questions asked,

@Port of entry (Jamaica)

1. Show me your 797's

2. why are you coming here ?

@ Interview ( Embassy)

1. How long you are working with current company?

2. Are you with same employer ?

3. which location are you working ?

questions asked for my friends

1. Show me your 1-129

2. Show me your LCA

3. Are you planning to go any where in Jamaica ? ( research some place near to Jamaica )

4. Why your salary more than the H1 wages or salary in i-129 petition ?

5. How much interaction is involved between the employer and you ?

6. Whom do you report ?

Then visa office gave RED slip and ask me to collect passport on Tuesday.

@Port of entry (Miami)

1. Why did you go to Jamaica ?

2. Who is your employer ?

3. What is the nature of you company ?

Before going to Jamaica , many unanswered questions in mind,

1. How many member attending interview everyday ( this may not need but for you info) ?

On April 14th , around 30 members attended and everyone got visa, in Evey week ( as of I know) approximately 30 to 45 attending for H1B stamp.

2. Passport Pickup and Location ?

After interview, Visa office will ask when do you leave ? make sure tell the current date, they will give one day before your date.

Location -- In ds160 you will mention DHL.. but DHL and embassy in same

3. H1B Extension or first time stamp ( Change of status)

90% are going to Jamaica for change of status, on April 14th I think 6 member including me went for extension.

4.797's

In my case new 797 start from June 2014 and old one ends May 2014, so I went for interview 45 before. as per the information i researched you can go to stamping 90 days before to you new 797. -- make sure to check with you employer/lawyer

I got visa until end of my new 797 i.e 2017

5.Amendment

I would suggest , file Amendment after you changed the client

6.PIMS

As others mention, it's not our duty.

7. Can I go early before my appointment?

Yes you can go 1 hr before, if you have friends going as group for interview, at embassy .. make sure separate.. I mean.. once your are in line..there are possibility you and you roommate immediately going to same counter, so try to give gap to avoid complicated questions.

8. Number of counters for interview ( this may not need but for you info) ?

I think there are 24 counters but for interview only 5

suggestions.. the interview process is very easy but day by day it getting tough(that's what I observed) make sure prepare for all and apply Canada visa in case if you get struck in Jamaica to going back to India it's easy and save money and time

good luck for all.
