H1b transfer help

Hi there . Please help me with this . My husband applied for h1b transfer through company A. Due to lack of filing time 2 petitions were filed one after another just in case the other was missed  . Petition 1 got approved for 1 year period . So the employers submitted withdrawal of petition 2 . But now petition 2 has also been processed and approved for 3 year period . So they are requesting the retract of petition 2 withdrawal since it has more time .  What will happen ?? Will the uscis consider retracting the petition withdrawal or will it be withdrawn ?  And also how long will it take for us to know what happened ?Your insight will help a lot .
