H1-B -> MBA (F1) -> H1-B

Hi all,

I am currently working on H1-B status (since Oct 2015) and am thinking of going to business school Fall 2018.

If my employer files for my green card next month and if I go to business school in August, 2018 will that be enough time for I-140 processing so I can extend my H1-B beyond after my MBA.

If I don't file for a green card then could I use the remaining time on my H1-B after my MBA?

Please advise on the best course of action.
