MBB Posted March 12, 2017 Report Share Posted March 12, 2017 Hi, I am currently on STEM OPT Extension valid till Jan 2018, and my company is filing for my H1-B application this year(2017). I plan to travel to India in the month of May 2017 and return in June 2017. 1. I would like to know if I could travel and return back to US on my valid F1-OPT visa. Also, which one of the two options would be better, Consular processing or filing with Change of status . 2. If my HI-B application(filed with Consular processing) is approved while I am in India, do I need to go for Visa stamping at the US consulate in India? Or Can I travel on my OPT?
