OCI matchup Process Clarification

Hi,

 

I have applied for OCI card (in lieu of PIO) and my application is in-progress.

However due to personal reasons, I had to travel to India and I may need to be here the next six months or an year.

For my OCI matchup process, is it okay if I send the completed OCI matchup form and other original documents (such as US Passport,  PIO ..etc) to consulate/CKGS thru my cousin living in US?

San Francisco Consulate is my processing center.

You cannot send PP outside the country. That's not safe at all.

I do not plan to mail PP outside the country. Thinking about handing over to my cousin, who will personally take it to US while flying from India and then mail to SFO consulate/ckgs.

I'm doing the OCI in lieu of PIO for my kids and submitted the part A and B online including photo and signature and passport/pio copies upload.

 

What are the next steps? What documents and fees to be sent to ckgs san framcisco? How long does it take to get the OCI card?

I am also in same situation. I applied OCI card due to delay, last minutes applied Tourist Visa and family travelling to India.

So to get the Original OCI Card from CKGS, Still CKGS having this match process ?
