  1. I have an approved I-140 with Employer A under title "Software Developer" with a priority date of 2015 June. Since then received few promotions. Currently with Employer B with title "VP Engineering" and they started my GC process in March 2021. Couple questions, - Could I still port my original priority date of 2015 June with the changes in my job titles? - And knowing that the GC process started in March 2021 (currently with DOL for job classification), when can I approx. expect to complete PERM application and move to I-140? Thanks in advance for any suggestions or inputs.
  2. A couple of months ago I joined a new employer with an approved H1B I-797. However, my wife's H4 I-797 approval process is still several months away from approval. I am told that this is because of some changes to the H4 approval process now requiring biometrics. Now, due to a personal situation change, we would like to invite our in-laws to the US in a couple of months. The question I have is will my in-laws run into any issue during their B2 Visa interview given my wife's H4-I797 is still in progress. Could someone here suggest what are my options here? Any insights would be very helpful.
  3. makes sense. I can confirm that the bottom section does have a I-94 info where the end date is set to March 2022. The March 2020 end date is something I found on the CBP website where you can retrieve their most I-94 record. Although I am going to consult a lawyer, I am guessing that the I-94 info in I-797 overrides the I-94 record info in CBP site? If so, then I do have a 60 days grace period? correct?
  4. makes sense, I-797 bottom section does have I-94 info where end date is set to March 2022. I was looking at my I-94 info in https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/I94/#/home So, I guess, whatever I-94 end date is set in latest I-797 overrides the info you see in the CBP website? If so, then I have 60 days grace period?
  5. I lost my job and learned that my current I-94 admit is only until 03/15/2020. However, my approved I-797 is valid until March 2022. I have made a decision to just move back to India versus trying to look for another job. Can anyone here confirm how much grace period do I have here?
