Hi,

I am applying for the renewal of my Wife's EAD which is expiring in July.

The USCIS has sent a notice saying they need " A copy of L-2 Immigrant's I-797, Notice of Approval for your form I-539".

But my understanding is:

1. Since there is no I-797 for a L2- Dependent of a L-1 Spous, we can send the L2 Visa Stamped page from the passport as a seconary evidence. Is this correct?

2. For the Notice of approval, Can we go to the USCIS status tracking site, give the LIN# from the EAD card and get the print out of the Approved status from there. Is this fine?

3. Since We had filed for I-795 , the first time when we applied for the L2 - EAD, we can send that form instead of I-539, is this correct?  ( Since I have read that I-539 is for people who were on F visa and got converted to L2- EAD).

Can someone please clarify?

Regards,

Guru
