Thiyagarajan Kumar
My current company is merging with two other new companies and became a bigger company. I am going to have my paycheck with bigger company employer name. My Current H1B and I140 visa was filed on Aug 2015 and Oct 2015 is pending, not approved with current employer yet. It will approve very soon and I think it is valid but my question is, Do I have to file New H1B and I 140 with bigger company employer name as I am having paycheck in different name from H1 and I140 approval. JoeF
It depends on the details. If the new company is the successor-in-interest of the old company, i.e., took over all assets and liabilities, then an amendment with the new company name should be enough. HR should know these things. Link to comment
