H1B extension after 6 years with Approved I-140

Recommended Posts

hi folks,

This is my scenario:- My 6th year of H1B period is coming to an end but I-140 was approved 2 years ago. Recently, my current project ended in Boston and I moved to ohio state where I got a new project. So, my employer has agreed to file an extension and he suggested that I would get 3 more years of H1B extension on my approved I-140.

a) Is it true?

b) If yes, then how much is the current fee for filing it with regular & Premium processing?

c) Since, my location has changed, so do my employer need to amend my H1B and apply for     an extension or can he just go for a normal extension?

I would appreciate if anyone could enlighten me on these queries.

Thanks in advance,

Nova

1. True

2. Zero dollars for you

3. I think you need both.
