Company Name changed h1b amendment done visiting india does one need visa stamping

Hi,

 

My friend has been working for a company "A"

Visa on the passport valid till 2017 September (H1b and i140 approved by company A).

 

Due to some reason the company "A" was sold and the name changed from "A" to "B".

The new company "B" did the h1b  amendment for my friend and is now approved.

 

My friend wants to visit india.

 

Question :-

 

1) Will he be stopped at the immigration for not having the visa stamped with company "B" information ?

he has to carry official letter related to name change. he must contact company's HR.

 

This is not an unique situation; company will be able to help him.

He just need new approved amendment I-797. That's it.
