How to get birth certificate in India, Khammam ?

I am from Khammam, Telangana . Currently residing in US on H1. 

 

I need to get birth certificate from India. I was born in 1987 and the hospital that I was born doesn't have any records of the birth. Can you please suggest on how to apply for birth certificate while living in US ?

for what purpose you will need birth certificate? 

 

Passport (for international) and 10th certificate (for domestic) does work for most of the things.

I believe its a two step process. You would have to go to e-seva to apply for registering your birth. I think before that you would have to get a Non-Availability Certificate from the local Taasildar office. With that you would have to go to e-seva and apply for registering your birth and get a Birth Certificate.
