gchoubis
Hello, I spent 3 years in US on L1B and after that my visa changed to H1B, which is ending in April 2017 (no extension possible) My current company has started the PERM processing and hopefully within six months my labor should be filed. So, it is being filed after my 6th year on H1b will be started. I want to know the best way to ensure that I'm able to stay in US till my labor/I40 is approved. Let's say till Oct/Nov 2016, if my labor is not approved 1. Can I get my H1 converted to L1, which will allow me to stay till April 2018 and then wait till my labor/I40 is approved. Once labor is approved , I move back to H1 and get it extended Link to comment
rohang
H1->L1A is not that simple, as they serve completely different purpose. ask them to start GC asap; once its approved. Get I140 done in PP. That way you can expect to get I40 in 15 days. Link to comment
pontevecchio
Since you were here in H1 status for the last 3 years, you would not qualify for L1A status. Link to comment
