Post-Completion OPT cancellation after approval

Does anyone have any experience in canceling their Post-Completion OPT after it has been approved (EAD card received)? I'm currently in a situation where my graduation has been delayed by a semester. I tried to cancel my OPT when it was pending, but unfortunately USCIS approved my application before the request was received. My program ends this May, but my OPT starts in February, so it would be best if I could cancel my OPT and reapply.

You cannot cancel post-completion OPT once it is approved. You either use it or lose it. You can get more information on this from your DSO.
