H-1B extension visa stamping - Drop Box

I recently submitted the required documents at the drop box facility in Kochi (stamping to be done in Chennai consulate)

 

On the visa status tracking website, the status until yesterday showed as follows

 

Ready

Case Creation Date:

31-Dec-2015

 

Status Updated Date:

31-Dec-2015

 

But today 06-Jan, the status update date changed, but the status still reads "Ready"

 

Ready

Case Creation Date:

31-Dec-2015

 

Status Updated Date:

06-Jan-2016

 

I am not sure what to infer from this. Could it be some system update delay/glitch, or could this be the beginning of a long and agonizing wait for me to get my passport with visa stamped ?

 

Anyone who has experienced this, please share how long it took for you ?

Status now shows "Administrative Processing" - Is this a soft reject, or are these guys doing some real administrative work like printing visa and sending it to courier ?

Status now shows "Issued" -- This is update is great.

 

But keeping my fingers crossed to see if my passport will be available for pickup on Friday.

When tracking by passport number on website the status says = "Passport has been received from the consular section, and is currently being processed for delivery"

 

When tracking by passport number by email the status says = "The current status of your passport is Origination Scan."

 

I hope the passport has shipped to Kochi, and I can pick it up on Friday
