Arrived on H-4, applied for "F-1" and recently got "OPT approved". I am flying to India for "H-4 stamping" and needed few questions answered in DS-160.

1. What is my "current visa" as I only have H-4 stamped in my passport and transferred to F-1 OPT status in US

DS-160 Question: Have you ever been issued a U.S. Visa?

2. As I got my OPT approved recently but never used and am transferring back to H-4 for visa stamping, what should I answer for any immigrant petition applied so it does not hurt stamping?

DS-160 Question: Has anyone ever filed an immigrant petition on your behalf with the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services?

3. My husband's H4 application will have more than 7 months pending when getting stamping, whereas when returning US I only have 4 months left on my VISA, will this be a problem? Would port of entry create any problems because of this? Are there any such time limits for visa or stamping?

4. As I have been in US for more than 5 years and have own home in US, should my home address be in India or US?

Thanks, what about the third question?

2. No, meaning not applied immigrant petition?

3. Type, my husband is on H-1.

So the question is:

H-1 is valid up to 7 months when stamping, whereas when returning US I only have 4 months left on my VISA, will this be a problem? Would port of entry create any problems because of this? Are there any such time limits for visa or stamping?

1. If F1 was approved as COS then it is H4.

2. No.

3. No issue. How is it possible for your spouse to be on H4 and you applying for H4? Is it a typo?

4. Your permanent address.
