imsuneel
Hi, I have a scenario where I travelled to US from India on H1B for Company in Jan, 2015. I got a new opportunity with Company B and got the H1B transfer approved and received the I-797B approved petition. My H1B stamping from Company A is still valid until Aug, 2016. I am planning to travel to India before I join Company B. Wanted to understand: Whether I can travel back to US based on Company A (Old employer) H1B stamping which is valid until Aug, 2016 and with approved petition from Company B (new employer)? Also, my family have the H4 stamping from Company A (Old employer) but they never travelled to US on that visa. Will there be any issue to bring my family along with me with the Company A(Old employer) H4 stamping and with approved petition from Company B (New Employer)? Please let me know. Thanks, Suneel Link to comment
JoeF
You can use the old, valid visa together with the new approval notice to enter. H4s are not employer-specific, so if the H4 visas for your family are valid, they can enter with you. Link to comment
