pghos2 Posted October 28, 2015 Report Share Posted October 28, 2015 Hello, I have two questions related to J1 visa. 1) As a J1 research scholar my start date to begin my program is in Februray 2016. Could I enter in the USA 30 days ahead of the start date? If my start date is on Februray 2nd, 2016, can I enter between January 2nd to February 1st, 2016? 2) What types of documents I need to show to establsih ties to home country during the visa interview? Could I show any property such as apartment on my name to establish the ties? What documents I need to prepare if I want to show that I would return to my home country for my aged parents. Any help regarding these matters will be highly apprciated. Link to comment
