akumar2015
Hi All, Here is my situation. 1) I have completed 5 years on my H1 and exact one year is left. 4) My company wants to start GC process now. 3) Attorney says that PERM/I-140 approval take upto 12-15 months and we have to have I-140 approved to get extensions. So my questions are A) How much time in general take for PERM and I-140 approved. B) Do we have to wait for I-140 approved to file extension for H1. C) As worst case scenario, if I-140 is not approved and H1 expire, do I have some other options to get some time here and extensions. Regards Anil Kumar Link to comment
Bhajagovindam
1.PERM without audit takes about 7-8 months as of today's trend. With audit can take up to 1.5 -2 years or more, never know. 2. PERM pending aproval for more than 365 days can get H1-B extensions as 1 year increments. With an approved I-140, you can get extensions for 3 years. Link to comment
