murthymm01
Hello Experts, I have a question on EB2 Eligibility. I have about 2 years of experience with company A. Then Company B hired me as a Application Support Analyst. But as time went by (about 2 years from hire) my job duties have changed and my title was changed to Applications developer which required more technical skills. I have been working with company B for about 3 years now.(1 yr as a application support analyst and 2 yrs as application developer). My Q is if company B starts my GC processing, and if they decide to hire a Applications Developer for future employment, can i use my current experience with company B towards EB2 Processing ? JoeF
You can't use experience in the current company unless the new job is more than 50% different from the current one. Link to comment
murthymm01
Thank you JoeF Can you please provide an example of what do you mean by 50% diff. If the job is 50% different how would i support the new experience required? Link to comment
JoeF
A competent immigration lawyer can describe what is needed. The law only says the new job would have to be at least 50% different. But a common example is probably going from a non-managerial role to a managerial role. Link to comment
